ROUTE OF EXILE FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND ADULTS
La Jonquera and the surrounding villages were privileged witnesses of the Republican exodus and an important scenario of the final stage of the Republican Government of Catalonia and the retreat of hundreds of thousands of men and women. The route follows one of the paths of exile taken, among others, by the main leaders of the Government of Catalonia, the Governement of Euskadi and the Government of the Republic to cross the border into France.
It is the exile route close to La Jonquera: Agullana, La Vajol, Coll de Lli until Las Illas, the first village on the other side of the border. The route is combined with a guided tour of MUME.
