Screening of the documentary “Palabras de mamita”, made by Natàlia Carbonell, Carla Ferrerós, Robert Molina and Míriam Seguí. The documentary tells the biography of Joana Colom, a teacher born in Garrigàs in 1899, who went into exile in the Soviet Union after the Civil War.
The presentation of the documentary will feature the participation of: Salomó Marquès, Carla Ferrerós and Natàlia Carbonell.
This documentary, created by Natàlia Carbonell, Carla Ferrerós, Robert Molina and Míriam Seguí, has won the 2nd Linguistic Autobiography Competition 2015, organized by L'Alzinar, Masquefa's recreational and cultural society, together with the Aurèlia Figueras Foundation, the Group of Study of Endangered Languages of the University of Barcelona and the Xarxa Vives d'Universitats.
It is based on the biography of Joana Colom, an exiled and socially and politically committed teacher and on the social use of the language through her testimony.
This is a complementary activity to the temporary exhibition "Pepita and Elisa Úriz Pi. From Badostáin to East Berlin. History and commitment of the Úriz sisters" which can be seen at the MUME from 12 November 2016 to 26 February 2017.
