Call for the IV Edition of the Walter Benjamin Memorial Prize 2018 to 2019
Recognition for unpublished essay work
Admission period for papers between June 1 and 31, 2019
Bases that will govern the IV Edition of the Walter Benjamin International Memorial Prize, 2018-2019, which will be convened by the MUME consortium in 2018, with the sponsorship of the Girona Provincial Council. The award, which is based on the cross-cutting nature of the work of the Judeo-German author, is fundamentally intended to support the theoretical task carried out by professionals associated with studies on art, photography, architecture, urban planning, cinema, philosophy, history, literature, sociology ... In all cases, projects with present issues related to the history and memory of the 20th century will be considered a priority. The frequency of the award announcement will be biennial.
