The last days of republican Catalonia. Agullana

Antoni Rovira i Virgili, historian and politician, left a moving testimony of the collapse of republican institutions and of the country in general during the last days of the Civil War in the Principality. Agullana, a municipality located near the border line, hosted the main republican institutions and authorities, as well as delegations from the embassies of the USSR and Mexico. Ammunition arsenals; People’s Army soldiers, carabinieri and police officers; intellectuals and artists and more! The route consists of a guided tour of the town, including the space dedicated to the Catalan cultural exile of 1939, and a walk to the vicinity of Mas Perxés, a building of great prominence in the story written by Antoni Rovira i Virgili .

Meeting point: Plaça de l’Església, Agullana

12 de maig 2019: Coll de Lli. L’evasió dels màxims dirigents republicans.

9 de juny 2019: La doble frontera. Portbou en els anys de plom de la II Guerra Mundial

Els desplaçaments es realitzen en transport propi del participant i el dinar no està inclòs.

Totes les sortides programades són els diumenges.
