Joan Pacheco was eight years old when he crossed the French border on foot in 1939, alongside thousands of people fleeing the advance of Franco's troops. These are the last days of the Spanish Civil War and, after the line, Joan begins the path of exile, which will take him through France from one place to another, in a long odyssey. Her testimony, written by Núria Martí Constans, reminds us of a past that must be kept in mind. This is a story, sometimes hard and sometimes tender, which - as Ricard Martorano says in the prologue - "leaves no one indifferent".
