The tour begins with a guided tour of the Civil War rooms of the Girona History Museum (MHG) and the Exile Memorial Museum (MUME), the Canta de la Vajol Mine and various spaces of Algiers (the Cemetery of the Spaniards, the beach and the interpretation center and Memorial of the Concentration Camp of Algiers, which is located in the Château de Valmy) related to the memory of the republican exile.

This activity resumes the cycle of cultural and commemorative outings along the paths of exile, with routes that largely emulate the routes that thousands of citizens had to take due to the tragic events that occurred in early 1939.
The collaboration between the Girona History Museum and the Exile Memorial Museum proposes an informative history lesson and, at the same time, aims to be a civic event in memory of the people who had to endure and suffer violence. of the Civil War and the Franco regime and who, in many cases, experienced the terrible fracture caused by exile.
This cycle of activities also included outings on March 4, in Prats de Molló, and April 1, in Girona, Ribesaltes and Perpignan.
Guided tours by Jordi Font Agulló (director of the MUME) and Salomó Marquès Sureda (professor of History of Education, UdG).
