The Aesthetics of Resistance, reloaded. Lecture series for the centenary of Peter Weiss
Events in Girona (June 1) and Barcelona (June 7)
On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Peter Weiss (1916-1982), German writer, artist, filmmaker, playwright and activist, the Walter Benjamin Chair, Memory and Exile and the Antoni Tàpies Foundation, together with the Girona Call Board and the Museum Memorial to the Exile, they have organized a series of lectures to revisit his life and thought.
The resumption of his great novel, The Aesthetics of Resistance (1981), from the conditions of the present and from practices that go beyond literature is the driver of these days, which will have two sessions in Girona and Barcelona and will be attended by some of the most prominent national and international specialists in their work.
