Keeping in mind that 2016 marks the 80th anniversary of the start of the Civil War, the MUME participates in the annual commemoration of the `` Camins de la Retirada '' with a concert that evokes the vicissitudes of the young soldiers who participated in the Battle of the Ebro, one of the bloodiest episodes of that warlike conflict.

Jaume Arnella, one of the most renowned Catalan songwriters and romancers, has composed and sung the poems of Josep Gual Lloberes (Badalona, 1920-2005), a combatant of the Battle of the Ebro in the republican ranks. Josep Gual is the author, among others, of the well-known poem "Paisaje de l'Ebre", which made the exiled singer Teresa Rebull popular.

Josep Gual i Lloberes (Badalona, 1920-2005) was a Badalonian poet, writer and cultural activist. With texts that are at times shocking, sometimes ironic and at other times of great lyric sensitivity, the Badaloní author reflects on the experience of the front during the Civil War, especially those of the young men of the "bottle of the bottle" who, finished When they left adolescence, they found themselves in the front line of the trenches in the Terres de l'Ebre.

The concert is part of the annual celebration of "Caminos-Camins de la Retirada, 2016" organized by the FFREEE Association (Children and Daughters of Républicans Espagnols et Enfants de la Exode), in collaboration with Machado Fondation, Mémorial du Camp d'Argelès, Mémorial du Camp de Rivesaltes, Argelès Town Hall, Collioure Town Hall and the Exile Memorial Museum (MUME).
