5.30 pm Opening of the EXHIBITION Philippe Gaussot - From the border to the Argelès camp in Argelès, a humanitarian itinerary in 24 photos (from February 18 to May 16, 2020) produced by Grégory Tuban and Félip Solé, proposed by the association “ August 24 ”.

Work carried out by students and teaching teams at Paul Langevin d'Elneet middle school at the Curie-Pasteur school in Argelès-sur-Mer. Refuge de lluny i de prop with the Catalan Association for Peace in Barcelona. Philately on Mathausen by Denis Yela. 1940 THE ARGELÈS CAMP UNDER THE VICHY REGIME

2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. ROUND TABLE Grégory Tuban, historian and specialist at the Argelès camp, moderates a round table discussion with testimonies from:

-The Burkler family, French, of Sinti-Piedmontese origin, arrested at the end of 1940 at the beginning of 1941 in Pamiers, and interned in the Argelès camp, then in that of Rivesaltes in the administrative category of "Nomads". Will be presented the testimony of Louis Burkler, 3 years old during his internment.

Francine Goldberg comes to tell the story of her family: Her grandfather Joseph Goldberg, a fighter in international brigades, a Belgian of Jewish origin died in the Argeles camp. His father, Walter Goldberg was with him, he was 11 years old. His uncle, Maurice Goldberg, erected a stele in the 1950s for all the victims of the camp at a place called "Spanish cemetery".

Wladimir Krisa, of Ukrainian origin was 6 years old in December 1940. He found himself interned with all his family who came from Lorraine to the Argelès camp, as a foreigner "in excess" in the national economy. He will come and testify.

4 p.m. I 2020 - NEWS Lecture by Eric Soriano, Lecturer in Political Science, Director of the Master on Inter-Mediterranean Migration, University of Montpellier: Xenophobia and Racism 1940 - 2020.

6 p.m. I DOCUMENTARY FILM Presentation of the journey of a grandson of a Spanish Republican, Alex, from Tarrassa to the Güsen Mauthausen concentration camp where his grandfather was deported (in partnership with the Friendly of Mauthausen).
