Concert of Afghan music "Homage to Afghanistan", performed by the exiled musician Daud Khan.

6 September 2008.

Daud Khan was born in Kabul in 1955. He often  plays  in Europe, the USA and India. He is also the Director of Studies at the Academy of Indian Music in Cologne (Germany). His discography includes the album "Tribute to Afghanistan". He is one of the few Afghan musicians that regularly play in the West. His concerts provide an overview of the musical traditions of his country, traditions threatened to disappear after years of war, exile and religious fundamentalisms. From his exile in Germany, Daud Khan struggles to preserve the musical heritage of his people. What is at stake is the memory of an entire population and the destruction of an important part of their cultural heritage.

The presence of the public was remarkable and showed the integration of the museum in the surrounding area.
