New program of family outings to various places linked to the 1939 exile (September 2018- May 2019)

Portbou

  The double border. Portbou in the lead years of World War II

Portbou, a border town that was the exit route for many Republicans at the end of the Civil War, and a few months later was also one of the main entry routes for many European Jewish citizens and resistant anti-fascists fleeing the Nazi horror. We will visit the cemetery and the monument "Passages" by Dani Karavan, dedicated to the memory of the Berlin philosopher Walter Benjamin.

This activity will include a small-scale artistic performance.

 Meeting point: in front of the tourist office, Portbou

Additional information:

Travel is made in the participant's own transport and lunch is not included.

All scheduled outings are on Sundays. Duration: 4 hours (from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

Prices: general 15 € - children from 7 to 12 years 8 €

Reduced prices for groups of 10 or more participants: general € 12 - children aged 7 to 12 € 5
