Historians Gemma Domènech, Joaquim Nadal and Miquel Serrano present and contextualize the diaries of the exile of carabinieri lieutenant Alexandre Blasi Boher thanks to the collaboration of the Blasi Darner family, who donated Alexandre Blasi's personal collection to Exile Memorial Museum in 2017. The agenda was edited by Miquel Serrano and Alexandre Blasi Darner, the son of Alexandre Blasi Boher.

The agendas of Lieutenant Blasi (1939-1942) allow us to reconstruct the last days of the evacuation operation in France of the artistic heritage concentrated in the deposits of the Canta mine (la Vajol), the mas Perxés (Agullana) and the mas Descals (Darnius) and threatened by the advance of the war. Alexandre Blasi, who commanded the truck movement and therefore witnessed the exception of this key episode in the safeguarding of the Republic’s heritage, continues his diaries for the more than three years he spends in France. Fear, longing, anguish and the struggle for survival, but also hope, friendship, solidarity woven among the exiles, are described in detail in the agendas that make up this hitherto unpublished corpus and which was bequeathed by the Blasi family to the Exile Memorial Museum (La Jonquera).

Alexandre Blasi Boher (Alentorn, Artesa de Segre, 1910 - Barcelona, 1989) was a lieutenant in the carabinieri corps during the Civil War. Between 1 and 9 February 1939, under the orders of the Government of the Spanish Republic, he led the convoys that moved part of the artistic heritage of the Republic and the Generalitat to France. On February 9, 1939, he passed through the Lli border pass and Las Illas (Maureillas-Las Illas) in France, embarking on the path of exile, which took him to Perpignan and Saint-Chamas (Provence, the Alps and the Côte d'Azur). In 1942 he returned to Catalonia to settle in Barcelona. His experience of war and exile was recorded in these agendas.

The presentation of the book will be given by the people in charge of the critical edition, Gemma Domènech, Joaquim Nadal and Miquel Serrano, and by the director of the Democratic Memorial, Jordi Font. Also taking part will be Alexandre Blasi Darner, the author’s son, and the director of the Exile Memorial Museum, Alfons Quera, who will lead the event.
