The MUME is involved this year in the activities planned for the World Refugee Day, on 20 June with a guided tour and a roundtable on Friday 18 June after the institutional programme in Figueres.

The Catalan Commission for Refugee Aid celebrates the Refugee Week around World Refugee Day on 20 June. The activities during this week have two aims:

On the one hand, to condemn the violation of the Right of Asylum in Spain by means of a Hearing before the President of the Parliament of Catalonia and a Hearing before the Immigrant Welfare Commission of the Parliament. There will be also a press conference to present the 2010 Report on the situation of refugees that the Catalan Commission for Aid to the Refugees has produced in conjunction with CEAR.

On the other hand, a festive tribute to the refugees with an institutional event at Figueres Town Council and a meeting with exiled people from the Republic and other refugees who live among us at  the Exile Memorial Museum in La Jonquera.
